One of the most appalling recent trends is the way in which certain media outlets, such as The New York Times, have begun referring to carbon dioxide — one of the basic constituents of the atmosphere and a substance we all constantly exhale — as a "pollutant."
By that standard, everything is a pollutant. And that is, in fact, precisely the view that has now been endorsed by a 5-4 majority of the Supreme Court. In Monday's ruling in Massachusetts v. Environmental Protection Agency, the court held that the EPA is obliged to treat every substance on earth as a pollutant to be regulated, unless it can demonstrate why that substance is not a pollutant.
Actually, that's not precisely true. The EPA is not required to target literally every chemical component of our environment — just the ones that are produced by humans as part of our economic activity. The court's majority opinion cites the Clean Air Act, which defines an "air pollutant" to be "any physical, chemical...substance...emitted into...the ambient air." Emitted, that is, by humans. The emphasis on the word "any" was added by the court, which goes on to note that this "embraces all airborne compounds of whatever stripe."
In a puckish footnote in his dissent, Justice Antonin Scalia replies: "It follows that everything airborne, from Frisbees to flatulence, qualifies as an 'air pollutant.' This reading of the statute defies common sense." Dam don't you just LOVE that man? I wish we had 8 more just like him!

Yes, it is another area where the Global Warming extremists believe they have a consensus. Yet many scientists believe that not only is carbon dioxide not a pollutant by proper definition but it is a life sustaining integral part of our world. Can too much co2 be bad? Of course, so can too much vitamin D or water or food......etc. Fairly recently a young girl lost her life to a silly water drinking contest over the radio,Yet we don't label water as a poison.

The theory is that specifically those people who breathe, operate in modern industry or dairy farming, reproduce and live in a society with better than 3rd world status, add too much co2 to our atmosphere and cause global warming. Yet many scientists and experts believe that the correlation and relationship between co2 and temperature levels is just the opposite. They believe that the rise in temperature throughout our solar system (even Mars is experiencing warming) is due to the sun and variations in seasonal Earth rotations. They are equally as certain that the rise in temperature facilitates a rise in co2 not the other way around! So no the debate is far from over, it is yet to begin. Those who believe in anthropogenic (man-made) Global Warming are not going to be allowed to push their theories down our throat and tell us we have no choice! We will not be silent on this issue. Those of us who do not stand to gain greatly from Global Warming and have a lick of sense will not go quietly.

Until the Church of the left (Secular Science) takes it's seat as theocratic ruler of the world, we will continue to give voice to reason and sanity.
To sit silently while Socialist ideals prevail over our great Republic would be a greater sin than is being committed by those who peddle this vile poison.
